We only said goodbye with words
- Back to Black, covered by Beyonce & Andre300
When and how did you start performing?
Started around 2008 with Valley Burlesque Society in Fresno.
When did you get into burlesque, specifically?
Started around 2008 with Valley Burlesque Society in Fresno.
Where do you find your inspirations?
Mostly the music that moves me, or a certain feeling I'm motivated to portray.
What advice would you give new performers?
Always perform to music that makes you feel good, whatever that means to you.
Do you have a method for creating your numbers? Or is it all madness?
I always start with a song that I want to move to, and then a costume that makes me feel good moving to that song.
Do you have a favorite costume piece? What is it?
I always feel amazing with feathers! They move in such a sultry way and are fun to highlight certain body parts. Also, fishnets--they do wonders for the legs!
Who are some performers you admire?
All of my fellow performers I share the stage with!
What do you really enjoy about performing?
Feeling the audience's energy and focus. Being the positive center of attention for the time I take the stage and feeling admired for what I have to share.
Do you have a favorite moment from being on stage you can share? It does not have to be from a SLO Tease show!
Performing my first Bellydance-inspired burlesque piece back in 2015 for my fellow friends and bellydancers and seeing their overwhelmingly positive reaction. It's still my favorite dance!
